Holy Thursday

12:00 a.m.
04/18/2019

Thursday of Holy Week marks the Mass of the Lord's Supper, at which the church celebrates the establishment of the Eucharist, the sacrament of Christ’s body and blood present each time we gather and receive holy communion. This liturgy also features the washing of the feet, a symbolic action in which the priest and other ministers wash the feet of members of the congregation as a sign of humble service of God’s people. Good Friday

12:00 a.m.
04/19/2019

Good Friday is the day for observance of the Lord's Passion. This liturgy, which is not a Mass, consists of reading the Gospel account of Christ's trial, suffering and death, as well as the veneration of the cross, an opportunity to prayerfully approach the cross and place there all our repentance, our sorrows, and our hopes. Holy Saturday

12:00 a.m.
04/20/2019

On Holy Saturday the Church waits at the Lord's tomb, meditating on his suffering and death. The altar is left bare, and the sacrifice of the Mass is not celebrated. Only after the solemn vigil during the night, held in anticipation of the resurrection, does the Easter celebration begin, with a spirit of joy that overflows into the following period of fifty days. Easter Sunday

12:00 a.m.
04/21/2019

Easter is the feast of feasts, the unalloyed joy and gladness of all Christians. In the very center of the Mass, the great prayer of thanksgiving, from the first words of the Preface, expresses the unrivaled motive for this joy: if it is right to praise You, Lord, at all times, how much more so should we not glorify You on this day when Christ our Passover was sacrificed, for He is the true Lamb who took away the sins of the world, who by His Death destroyed our death and by His Resurrection restored our life. Easter means, then, Redemption obtained — sin destroyed, death overcome, divine life brought back to us, the resurrection of our body which is promised immortality. With such a certitude, we should banish all trace of sadness. (Description by: www.catholicculture.org)
