Vatican II and the Church of the Third Millennium - Session One

10 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Join Fr. Gregory Uhrig for an exploration of the enduring power of Vatican II's teachings in our day. The course will be held on four consecutive Wednesdays from 10 am. – 11 a.m., beginning August 8. Based on a video series entitled Vatican II and the Church of the Third Millennium with Dr. Richard R. Gaillardetz, Ph.D., this course will offer an opportunity to reflect on and discuss the challenges facing the Catholic Church today. There is no charge to attend.

Dr. Gaillardetz is a professor of systematic theology at Boston College. He received his Ph.D. in systematic theology from the University of Notre Dame and is currently the president of the Catholic Theological Society of America. He has written numerous articles and 10 books on matters of ecclesiology, the Second Vatican Council, and the Magisterium.

The following four sessions are part one of a two-part series. The second part of the course will take place in November.

Part One Sessions:
August 8:
The Church before the Council
August 15: Preparation for the Council
August 22: The priesthood of the faithful
August 29: A pilgrim Church

If you would like to register, contact Fr. Gregory Uhrig at (732) 529-7933 or email guhrig@diometuchen.org.
