Rejoice and Be Glad! - Session Three: In the Light of the Master

Join Fr. Gregory Uhrig for a discussion of Pope Francis' new Apostolic Exhortation entitled "Gaudete et Exsultate" (Rejoice and Be Glad), subtitled "On the Call to Holiness in Today's World."

The course will be held at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, 146 Metlars Ln., Piscataway, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on four consecutive Tuesdays: July 10, 17, 24 & 31

Four sessions:
July 10: The Call to Holiness
July 17: Two Subtle Enemies of Holiness
July 24: In the Light of the Master
July 31: Spiritual Combat, Vigilance and Discernment

The only charge for the course is $5 to buy a discussion booklet. Classes are open to all regardless of faith, age, background, etc.

Summer Seminar for Skills for Pastoral Musicians

All pastoral musicians are invited to attend a Summer Seminar for Skills from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 28 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges. 

Hosted by the Diocese of Metuchen's Office of Worship and the Metuchen Chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM), this seminar will develop the basic skills necessary for music ministers, including vocal and instrumental music and liturgy. 

The day will begin with Morning Prayer, followed by your choice of breakout session. After breakout sessions, the group will reconvene for a panel discussion and lunch. Advance registration is requested. 

The cost to attend is $35/person for advance registration and $40/person for onsite registration. Lunch is included.

This seminar is the first in a three-year series that will be held the last Saturday in July of 2018, 2019 and 2020.
