Mass for Home School Students and their Families

The Most Reverend James F. Checchio, Bishop of Metuchen, will celebrate Mass for Home School Students and their Families at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Light refreshments and fellowship to follow.

Parish Catechetical Leader (PCL) and Catechist Certification

7 p.m.

The Diocese of Metuchen's Office of Discipleship Formation will hold its annual Parish Catechetical Leader (PCL) and Catechist Certification Celebration at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, 548 Main St., Metuchen, on Wednesday, June 6. The event, which honors the hard work and accomplishments of PCLs and catechists who have achieved certification, is open to all the faithful of the diocese. Msgr. Joseph Celano, Episcopal Vicar for Administration, will preside over the Mass, which will begin at 7 p.m. The Mass will be followed by a certification ceremony and reception in the community room.

Eucharistic Holy Hour for Vocations

The Office of Vocations invites you to attend a Eucharistic Holy Hour for Vocations at 6 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, 146 Metlars Lane, Piscataway.

Included in the intentions of this Holy Hour are the men who will be ordained the following day, Deacon Robert Pinnisi and Deacon Tholitho, and the Sanctification of priests of our Diocesan Church. The presider will be Bishop James F. Checchio.

Mass of the Rite of Ordination to the Priesthood

11 a.m.

Bishop James F. Checchio will ordain Deacon Robert Pinnisi and Deacon Tholitho to the priesthood on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, 548 Main St., Metuchen.

All are welcome to attend. For those unable to be present in person, the Ordination will also be livestreamed at http://www.stfranciscathedral.org.

Please pray for these men and please continue to pray for an increase of vocations to the priesthood in our diocese.

St. Joseph 5th Annual 5K

7:45 am – 10:00 am

$30 – registration required

St. Joseph’s Parish of Hillsborough, NJ will be hosting their Fifth Annual 5K. All proceeds will be split between BoroSafe suicide prevention/awareness and our Youth Ministry trip to Catholic Heart Work Camp (CHWC) in Paterson, NJ. Catholic Heart Work Camp is all about SERVICE, CONNECTION AND LOVING OTHERS.
