Diocesan ENCUENTRO

9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
10/14/2017

Inspired by both Jesus' example evident in the gospels and by Pope Francis' call to bring joy and hope to the periphery, our process will reach out to those who live in isolation, in sorrow, and in poverty, and to those who find themselves wounded along the way and need the merciful and tender embrace of Christ. From there, one will be able to discern the Church’s best pastoral and evangelizing response to parishes, dioceses, and ecclesial movements, at a diocesan level. On this joyful journey, we will revitalize our faith as parishioners and activate a missionary movement.

7:30 pm
10/15/2017

Calling all St. Francis fans and all Music lovers – Join in prayer on Sunday, October 15 at 7:30 pm at St. Joseph Parish, 34 Yorktown Road, Hillsborough for the diocesan festival choir’s Taizé prayer. Not familiar with Taizé? It’s a wonderful back-and-forth chant way of praying and singing.  The music reflects themes found in Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato sí: On Care For Our Common Home. Fr. Hank Hilton will be giving a brief reflection on the encyclical.

For more information contact Candace Piemonte at the Diocesan Office of Worship at 732-765-6438 or cpiemonte@diometuchen.org.
